REPORT ON DOWN TO EARTH: MAHALLAH ZUBAIR

On 17 May 2010, SRC has organized Down to Earth in collaboration with MRC (Zubair). For this DTE session, it was held at Mahallah Zubair and started at 9.15pm. The purpose of this session was to collect data through a survey and complaints about the facilities at Mahallah Zubair, especially with regards to the cafeteria. Majority of the complaints made by the students were about the services provided by the cafeteria. Other than that, they also complained about the washing machine service and also of the wireless connection. Each of us was divided accordingly for each block of the mahallah.

While collecting the survey and complaints from the students, we had taken this opportunity to meet them, simultaneously strengthening the ukhuwah between us. After the DTE session ended, all of us had some discussion pertaining to the complaints made by the students.

Therefore, on the 20th of May 2010, SRC have met with the owner of the cafeteria, Hj Yusof to discuss about the problems regarding the cafeteria. We have mentioned to Hj Yusof about complaints raised by the students from this mahallah. Hj Yusof also made some explanations from his point of view. He promised to improve his cafeteria services and hoped for the students to give full support and feedback to them so they can be better in serving the students. We have submitted a memo to the owner of the cafeteria. INSYAALLAH, further action will be taken by us.
